 Gospel Bus

Picture
The Gospel Bus began as a vision by our Associational Missionary (DOM) to build a resource that could be used by churches to reach people with the Good News. Many of the pastors and lay people of the BBA spent countless hours helping build the bus into a unique evangelism tool to meet the needs of the communities throughout the region. It is worth noting that the bus, a 2002 Thomas school bus was purchased, built,  and resourced with grills, generators, inflatables, tables & chairs, games, canopies and much more by sacrificial gifts from our churches and people who caught the vision of taking the Greatest News of all the world to our communities.

The Gospel Bus helps us go to places where the people are located. So instead of expecting our community to “come and see us” at church, we can now “go, tell and serve them” where they are! We are passionate about finding ways to meet the needs of others, to show God’s love and sharing Christ. There is a sense of urgency in our hearts to reach people with the love of Jesus. The bus along with all of its resources makes evangelism fun, productive, and easier for more people to do.

Rev. David Williams led the Gospel Bus project. The entire roof was cut off and raised nearly two feet. The majority of the project took place in a large workshop owned by Tracy and Tonya Rawls. The Rawls graciously allowed us to keep the bus in their shop where we spent many nights welding, fabricating, painting, wiring and so much more. The Rawl’s Christian spirit of generosity to the Gospel Bus project is appreciated.

There is more to do. If you have caught our vision to minister to the communities and would like to be a part of what God is doing with the Gospel Bus you may contribute. Contributions will help us purchase resources to minister to all age groups. Your gift is like wind in our sail or even better, diesel fuel for the engine!
