About Baptist Associations/Networks...

Our network is part of the Southern Baptist Convention that partners with local churches in our area to facilitate Kingdom growth, stay involved in local ministries, to have open doors for missions outreach, to give personal assistance to churches, minister to pastors, provide opportunities of fellowship, and we work together to reach our community, county, state, country, and world with the Gospel of Jesus.

Associations are the oldest entity in Southern Baptist life. The first Baptist Association in America was organized in 1707. Associations were formed for fellowship and to work in partnership to spread the Gospel. By working as partners, the impact of the Kingdom is   enhanced as churches proclaim the gospel, make disciples, minister to people in Christ’s name, and spread the gospel throughout the world.

MUTUALLY INVOLVED IN MINISTRY OUTREACH

An association is involved in meeting  community needs through ministry events that involved volunteers from its churches.          Opportunities to work together in ministry efforts enable churches to achieve their own ministry objectives in their local communities. Churches can accomplish much more by working in partnership with other churches than by working alone.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR FELLOWSHIP

Opportunities for fellowship are provided through an association. As fellowship is developed and experienced, pastors and church leaders are encouraged as they discover they are not alone in serving the Lord. Fellowship increases trust and mutual respect among believers and churches.

OPEN DOORS FOR MISSIONS OUTREACH

People from other countries are moving into ever associational area in Arkansas, brining with them different languages and cultures. Associations continually develop strategies to enable its churches to proclaim the Gospel and minister to these new groups in Christ’s name.

Simultaneously, associations involve  people from churches in ministry and evangelism endeavors throughout the state, country, and worldwide.  Associations partner with churches to send volunteers to preach the gospel and minister to the needs of people all over the world.

PERSONAL ASSISTANCE TO CHURCHES AND MINISTERS

The Associational Missionary gives personalized  support and encouragement to the association’s churches and their leaders. He encourages the elected associational leadership to offer conferences, seminars, and workshops designed to prepare church leaders and members become better equipped to witness, disciple, and minister to individuals in need.  As a result, this helps churches be better equipped to me the needs of people in their communities.

CHURCHES HELP FUND THE ASSOCIATION

The accomplishment of an associations mission and vision of “Keeping You Connected”  and our mission to help our associational growth constant depends greatly upon the commitment of our churches. Adequate financial and people resources will enable our association to address the ministry opportunities  that God is giving us. The association will then be better able to  resource churches in encountering those  opportunities in their communities and world wide.
